Peace in Full
Bloom

In partnership with GOODProjects, and backed by a Building Blocks grant, we are creating community Peace Gardens that beautify and transform centrally located community spaces into flower and herb gardens with art and enhanced public amenities. They also serve as safe spaces for activities designed to fight poverty and gun violence, like calm contemplation and remembrance, as well as for programmed activities like youth community service and recreation, social events, and sites for service distribution to area residents.

Our three Peace Gardens include flowers and herb gardens that the community can harvest from for personal use. All the flowers are native, low-maintenance, pollinator flowers and plants, which in addition to being beautiful, help maintain a thriving ecosystem, and bring pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds to Southwest.
